Ralph Baric is the reason we had COVID vaccines in less than a year. He is an extraordinary, brilliant scientist. I cannot tally the value of his contributions to the field of virology & to humanity. Many people are alive today because of his work. I am privileged to have worked with and learned from him. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128…

I hate it when my incredible success results in abject failure
Larry Kudlow is correct. We were too successful the first year of the Trump administration.

I trust you - the Hoosier voters - to have a more direct say in the biggest issues we’re facing. That's why I want to institute citizen-led ballot initiatives, because some of the folks in the statehouse are looking out for special interests, not your interests.

The area burning today in San Clemente received over 1.60" of rain 5 days ago. So why is it burning? Answer: Highly invasive black mustard, a CA non-native. It dies each summer, leaving dry, highly flammable kindling that rainfall cannot revive. Remove and plant natives.

Here's the question that everybody seems interested in asking. Why was a totally unqualified science denier appointed to the position of Director of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP)? "Dr. Wielicki is both scientifically and legally unqualified for the job" Ranking Member Lofgren Urges Removal of Wielicki as Leader of Climate Research Office lofgren.house.gov/media/pres… xitter.gq/MatthewWielicki/status…
This is the question nobody seems interested in asking. For roughly 80 years, global annual CO₂ emissions have followed a remarkably persistent upward trajectory. During that time we've had decades of climate-crisis warnings, international treaties, climate summits, emissions targets, carbon taxes, mandates, subsidies and enormous expenditures intended to reduce emissions. And yet the global emissions curve still looks remarkably similar to the long-term trend. So here's the question: What exactly has all of this accomplished in terms of the stated goal... reducing global annual CO₂ emissions?

My early learning bill paid school readiness providers enough to keep their doors open and brought more low-income kids into free programs. I pushed Medicaid dental coverage until it passed. That's the record behind the agenda.

In 1952, a 22-year-old woman in a United States Army uniform was ordered to give up her bus seat in North Carolina. She refused, was arrested, and spent the night in a cell in that uniform. Her name was Sarah Keys. She took it to the Interstate Commerce Commission and won — a ruling that banned segregation on interstate buses, issued six weeks before Rosa Parks sat down in Montgomery. She was a private first class. She was on her way home to see her family.
