Web3 in 2026 is gradually proving that its future cannot depend on cryptocurrency prices and market hype alone.
For years, the industry has attracted attention through token launches, price predictions, and promises of financial freedom. But beyond all that excitement, one important question remains: What real opportunities is Web3 creating for ordinary people?
Blockchain adoption continues to expand, stablecoins are gaining relevance in digital payments, and real-world asset tokenization is connecting traditional finance with decentralized technology.
Yet, I believe one of the biggest opportunities lies in making participation more accessible.
Not everyone can afford to invest in cryptocurrency, and not everyone is a developer. But millions of people have valuable skills in writing, research, design, education, and community building.

Within the #DAOVERSE ecosystem, opportunities such as Workdrops, WhoTweets, and the Engagement Marketplace allow individuals to demonstrate their skills and contribute to projects without making financial investment the primary requirement.
From my personal experience, Social Mining has been more than an opportunity to earn rewards. It has pushed me to research unfamiliar topics, improve my content creation skills, and understand the #Web3 industry better.
And that is something I genuinely appreciate.
Of course, Web3 still faces challenges involving regulation, security, sustainability, and fair recognition of contributions.

That is why the philosophy of Labor over Capital resonates with me.

My girlfriend almost ruined my life because of a visa dream. Let me tell you how I lost her.
I met Keith on a project in Ghana. White guy, calm, unassuming. We became tight. He went back to the US but we kept talking. She used to joke "this Keith wants to date you" and we'd laugh.
I always wanted to travel. It had failed before, so I didn't make noise about it. But in my mind, Keith was my shot at America.
When he came back to Ghana, he came with his girlfriend.
One day I invited my girlfriend to meet them. Before we left I told her "Don't be stiff when we get there. Be friendly. These guys can be wild sometimes."
We got there and I understood. Keith wanted us to SWAP.
Me with his girlfriend. Him with my girlfriend.
I thought it was normal for them. A small price for our American dream. I texted her "Remember what I told you, don't be stiff."
I went into the bedroom with his girlfriend to show her it's nothing serious.
But she refused Keith. She begged for time to process. Keith backed off and apologized like a gentleman.
My girl walked out. I followed her home and tried to explain - if we do this, we both travel to the US. It's an opportunity.
She asked me "So you slept with his girlfriend?"
I told her "Not deep, because you were giving Keith problems."
That was the last time she spoke to me.
She blocked me, threatened to expose me if I came near her.
Now she doesn't pick my calls.
I lost a good woman because I tried to trade her body for a visa. No American dream is worth that.

At first, I thought she was joking. I was so confident we were going to get back together because, two weeks before that, she had tried to break up w me but we ended up FUCK!NG LOUDLY after having a conversation. two weeks later she stopped calling and slowly respond to text and constantly saying she’s done so I suggested we go on a night date to talk things through, and she agreed. When we got there, I ended up putting one of my friends on a video call with her to probably beg on my behalf. Omo, she was so invested in that conversation that I quickly went to the restroom with her phone. She had changed her passcode, buh somehow, I managed to guess the new one. I went straight to her WhatsApp, and it was clean. Then a Snapchat notification popped up. I thought the guy wanted to buy glasses because she sells accessories, so I half-swiped the chat to see what was going on. BOY, MY HEART SANK.💔
Lesson learnt: I no go date Ibadan girls again😭
