Have had two conversations in the last two days with people I’ve met who have had an instant “yes this is for people like me” reaction when I’ve talked about @HelloAlyte and that is just the best ❤️

Quite a bit of time talking about web3 this weekend to super smart but not web3 knowledgeable women, all of whom are senior execs or entrepreneurs. What cut through: clear utility & economics, and the concept of membership & supporting a mission. What didn’t: status.

Love this - this change in mindset has had a huge impact for me too. Moving for the pleasure not for the ‘should’ means I do it as a treat rather than put it off as an unpleasant task. Working to change this for more people @HelloAlyte
For 30 years, I exercised because I hated how my body looked. No matter how hard I trained, the result was the same—quiet self loathing. So I shifted the goal: exercise to move my body, feel better mentally and stay healthy. The result? I finally appreciate my effort and body.

I’m a big believer that there is a middle way. Both tribes you describe seem similar in suffering. Trying to navigate this way, listening to self, is easier said than done: no absolutes to rely on. (A big motivator in founding @HelloAlyte is helping people find this in fitness.)
It's interesting. There is one whole tribe of people who relish in being vulnerable and connecting through their shared suffering, and there is a whole other tribe who cherish "being tough", getting up at 5 in the morning, and never ever complaining. Surely there's a middle way?
