Today on Library Advocacy Day, we're all advocates for libraries! Please take a moment to call, write, and tag your state legislators on social media to let them know that New Yorkers deserve appropriately funded libraries. #LibraryAdvocate #LAD24 #NassauLibraries

It is an honor to be awarded this distinction from the American Alliance of Museums! We look forward to continuing to give the community ways to explore art, encourage dialogue and inquiry, and be a place where connections are made. #academicmuseums @AAMers

Our feline friend from the Nassau Library Tour just got some seasonal sweaters and is ready to get in the holiday spirit! He'll be visiting many of us here at NLS over the next few weeks, helping us work and get ready for the New Year 😸 !
A tan plush cat with brown stripes sits on a blue and green plaid blanket, next to a purple Nassau Library Tour t-shirt. He's wearing a white and red holiday sweater, and has a thought bubble above him that reads "I think it's time to get in the holiday spirit!"

Get in the holiday spirit! Be creative! Win a gift! Take part in our "Holiday Mini Story Challenge". Funny, sad, moving, even scary- your story can be anything you want, as long as it's only 3 sentences. See the flyer for details. Get writing. We need them by December 15.
