I would argue that the frustration about the behaviour of Germany’s govt. is based on an imbalanced understanding of an equal partnership. A sovereign nation‘s value as a partner should not be derived from how much it acts in your own interest. (1/2)
Definitely an interesting (American) perspective on the behavior of Germany in this current situation. It's fairly confusing (as a German) to see how much of the "value" of this bilateral partnership seems to be derived from blind loyalty.
