I created FREE directory for startup grants and investments.
I kept looking for them while building @heyula_ai, and every time one had already expired or I found it too late.
So I put them all in one place, and it keeps updating as new ones get posted.
November deadlines still open:
• a16z speedrun - nov 1, up to $1m + $10m+ in credits
• yc w2027 - nov 2 at 8pm pt, $500k

• nsf america's seed fund - nov 4, full proposal (phase i up to $305k)
• techstars spring 2027 - nov 18, $220k
• thiel fellowship - rolling, $250k So I put them all in one place, and it keeps updating as new ones get posted.

Wooh 1st success for @heyula_ai
Ula successfully booked its first temple ticket for Tirupathi.
- It triggered OTP, logged in and showed the open slots
- Filled the form from my saved details ( vaults )
- Showed the exact price before doing anything.
I tapped approve,
paid inside Whatsapp using UPI,
and ticket landed in my trip documents.
Just converted the screenshots into video using claude for demo.
Join our waitlist and will open spots quickly.

Just applied to @HF0 W27 with @heyula_ai 🤞
Got this card at the end of the application and I can't stop looking at it 😅
"One bot journeys many roads" is pretty much what we want Ula to be for families planning trips together
Launching my new product, @heyula_ai 🥳
- Ula is an AI travel companion right inside your messaging app.
- Ula understands your travel preferences.
- Helps plan personalised trips.
- Remembers what you save.
So that you don't have to start from scratch every time.
Travelling with a toddler is messy enough. Planning it shouldn't be.
Mathan Kumar Balakrishnan retweeted
I planned our last family trip with 12 tabs open. Never again.
If you travel with a toddler, you know.
Trains that don't clash with nap time. Hotels that actually have a cot. "Is this place okay with a 2 year old?" Reviews, maps, prices, again and again.
And at the end, one spreadsheet nobody else opens 😅
This year I was already deep into AI agents. Building them, breaking them, spending days just fixing memory.
That's when it clicked.
If an agent can remember how I work, why can't it remember how my family travels?
So we're building Hey Ula.
You message it like a friend on WhatsApp.
Tell it where, when and who's coming.
It comes back with a few options that actually fit, not 50 links.
It remembers what you like for next time.
Built with my co-founders, tested on our own messy family trips.
Waitlist opens today.
Comment "ULA" and I'll DM you the link 👇 (follow so I can DM you)

Just finished Instinct founder Noah Shinn conversation with Patrick O’Shaughnessy’s.
Here are my takeaways.
1/ Invite-only. $0 on marketing. Growing ~10% a day. No app. You text, call, or email it like a person.
2/ Instinct lives in iMessage, WhatsApp, SMS, and email.
It has its own computer, browser, phone, password manager, and email address.
It doesn’t just answer. It books, pays, cancels, shops, and handles admin.
3/ Why no app:
The bet is that software collapses into one simple interface as agents get more capable.
You shouldn’t have to learn a new product. You should just tell it what you want.
4/ Trust is the actual product.
It takes weeks, not minutes.
~40% of users connect a credit card by week 3.
Once they share one sensitive thing.. card, inbox, or calendar.. retention jumps to ~80%.
5/ Users control how much they share and can revoke it.
The agent is supposed to act in the user’s interest, never against it.
That’s why Shinn doesn’t want an ad model. If the agent starts steering you, trust dies.
6/ Agents talking to other agents.
Instinct has a trusted network so one person’s agent can coordinate directly with another’s.. scheduling, plans, logistics.. with different permission levels for a spouse vs a colleague.
7/ Business model:
Still free for users.
Revenue is a take rate on transactions, more like Apple Pay / Stripe than a subscription or ads.
Already doing >$1B in annualized transaction volume on a small user base. About half is travel.
8/ The internet gets reordered.
Travel, reservations, delivery, and anything built on “open the app because you always do” look different when an agent can search, book, and pay for you.
Shinn’s line: products built on consumer inertia are toast.
9/ Compute is the bottleneck.
They’re buying capacity months ahead of demand.
Proactive agents.. waking up, watching email/calendar, acting before you ask.. burn far more compute than chatbots.
This is treated as the scarce input of the race.
10/ Safety is not a side feature.
Firewalls, monitors, decoupled checks before actions fire.
Hallucinations are expected. The system has to catch them before money moves or an email goes out.
11/ Incumbents have to adapt.
Some will block agents. Some will make themselves easy for agents to use.
The winners optimize for agent-driven transactions, not just human attention.
12/ The frame Shinn uses:
You’re going up against the biggest companies in the world.
The window is months.
There is no distribution advantage.
But the product is spreading by invite anyway.
He calls it the most exciting software race ever. Trillions on the other side.
13/ Design taste:
Minimal. Predictable. Not a companion.
A socially aware operator that matches how you communicate.
Over time the interface stays simple and the objectives get bigger: not “book this flight,” but “handle this part of my life.”
14/ That’s the conversation.
First long look at Instinct: why it has no app, how trust forms, how agents coordinate, the take-rate model, and why compute.. not marketing.. is the constraint.
My conversation with Noah Shinn (@noahrshinn), founder of Instinct.
Noah is building a personal AI assistant. It's still invite only, has spent nothing on marketing, and is growing roughly 10% A DAY.
This is his first long conversation about the company.
We discuss:
- Why Instinct doesn't have an app
- Buying compute months ahead of exponential demand
- How users learn to trust it with a credit card
- Safety and security
- Agents coordinating with other people's agents
- Instinct's business model
- Apps built on consumer inertia
- and more
Enjoy!

Opus 5.5 + TweetsMash = 🔥.
Opus made this product video on a real product loop:
lost X bookmark → library → sync → search
End line: Your X bookmarks, finally useful.
How it was made:
- HTML pages as frames
- Real bookmarks pulled from the API
- Headless Chrome capture
- ffmpeg stitch
- Python music track
- 8 renders after taste feedback
39 seconds. One core loop.
Opus is strong at launch video when the brief is cruel:
one job, real UI, hard rules.

Loving this little app❤️
I was looking for something to brain dump thoughts, track tasks, and focus on one thing at a time, without digging through windows.
Accidentally stumbled on NotchOwl and switched immediately.
Mac users, give it a try. One-time $4.90.
Worth experimenting.

Our first launch there for this product and honestly a bit nervous.
If you've launched on PH before, what's the one practical thing you wish someone had told you the night before?

Day 22
Been off the grid a bit, cricket & professional work. Happy to say our team finished runners-up out of 8 teams🏏🥈
Back to it now. Mapped out the next steps and I'm starting the demo video for LinkedMash's tomorrow.
Also testing new AI editing tools.
Happy mashing!🎬
Day 21
Tried making the LinkedMash 2.0 launch video vertical for Reels.
Landscape to vertical isn't just a resize. Framing, spacing and layout all need real rework.
A good, ongoing learning.
Next: demo videos for LinkedMash's free tools.
Happy mashing! 🎬

Day 20
It's here. LinkedMash 2.0 launch video is ready. 🚀
After days of studying, reframing & syncing, the payoff. Around 90% came together in a single prompt with Remotion + Claude.
And this is just the basics. Way to go.
Happy mashing! 🎬
Day 19
Launch video is almost there.
Studied the best SaaS launches, swapped placeholders, synced the audio & animations, & today shaped it all into one clear teaser-problem, product, features, payoff.
Biggest lesson: rhythm and clarity beat fancy effects.
Dropping soon. 👀
Day 18
LinkedMash launch video is taking longer than expected!
Added real screen recordings, reworked the audio, SFX, animations & getting them all in sync takes patience.
Slower, but every fix is teaching me something I'll reuse in every future video.
Happy mashing!🎬
