You are exactly right @GeorgeChiesa this is what I've been trying to say all along. Even if #CambridgeAnalytica deleted raw @Facebook data, they kept the models and therefore were still using that dataset. Same with every other client they had from the NRA, to Ted Cruz, to GOP...
with respect, if a model has an absurdly high overfitting (which is a technical ML term) - like the @iconews appears to suggest in pages 16-17 of the latest report on the subject - then it's unlikely than a model can be said NOT to be functionally equivalent to the input data...

Looks like that national gun registry already exists. It is being run by private gun associations with the personal information of gun owners, unknown to these private individuals, being delivered to Cambridge Analytica to benefit the Trump campaign. 2A warriors, any comment?

Friday's document dump blows apart assertion that Cambridge Analytica had 'no role' in Brexit. AggregateIQ - firm at heart of EUref - revealed to be operating as single legal entity with CA. Meanwhile @Channel4News's reporting exposed Trump campaign *did* use CA's psychographics

There's no coming back from this for @afneil ... he continually called the Cambridge Analytica a conspiracy theory and personally attacked @carolecadwalla numerous times for investigating it ... and now here it is ... The Barclay Brothers who bankroll him up to their necks in it.

There's so much more in here. But I need fresh air & sunlight. (As this entire story does). But these docs - released far far too late - clarify a lot. Not least the relation between LeaveEU-UKIP-CA-Bannon. And the data sharing between them.

Multiple docs from @OwnYourDataNow indicate Snapchat used for “persuadable voters” with “3.6m impressions.” That means CA were likely targeting first- time voters...my age. Did they collect data on minors too? Concerning... @profcarroll @carolecadwalla @jason_kint @EmmaLBriant

Gonna take days to go through the Cambridge Analytica data dump in detail (and it’s already ruining my weekend off) but worth establishing at the get-go that they always insisted they never used their military grade targeting technology in the UK

Uh oh. Look who's there on the launch night of LeaveEU, @afneil. With Banks, Farage & Cambridge Analytica. Why...it's only the Barclay Brothers! Or as we know them - @afneil's boss. Did you know this @afneil? Have you ever asked them about their involvement?? You going to now??

To understand context of this, you need to read this by campaign finance expert @brendan_fischer of Campaign Legal Center. It has done painstakingly detailed work to untangle illegal co-ordination at heart of Mercer's distributed empire & Trump campaign campaignlegal.org/update/new…

Portland Communications - at the time CA was negotiating with them on digital reputation management - which I knew was about to be required re: FB. Unfortunately for Alexander Nix he never hired anyone to handle the company’s communications until it was too late. #Hindsightis2020

First email I’ve seen from internal Cambridge Analytica after original Dec 2015 Guardian report. Hendrix@Facebook. Hey @OwnYourDataNow, what is “Portland?” It sounds like a project code name. What was it?

I’m still trying to understand why Nix appears to be allowed to lie to Congress and Parliament. @RepAdamSchiff @DamianCollins @CommonsDCMS
