On this date in 2015, Arkansas converted a first down using a lateral on 4th-and-25 in OT. The Razorbacks went on to upset No. 18 Ole Miss after a TD and 2-point conversion.
Ole Miss had a 95% win probability prior to the play and it is one of two 4th-and-25+ conversions in OT in the last 20 FBS seasons.

Arkansas football does not always suck. They claimed a national title in 1964 and won multiple Southwest Conference championships. Since joining the SEC in 1992 results have been mixed due to elite competition, a thinner in-state recruiting base, and coaching changes. This season they sit 3-5 under first-year coach Ryan Silverfield after a 2-10 2025. Programs cycle.

Lowest roster spend in the conference, late to NIL, and coaches who leave with buyouts bigger than actual wins. According to public reports and FOIA documents, Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek’s contract runs through Dec. 31, 2027. Annual salary is $1.5 million plus $250,000 deferred compensation (payable after Jan. 1, 2028), for about $1.75 million total. It includes minimum yearly raises matching average faculty/staff increases. 2024 payroll data confirms the $1.5 million base.
