Increasing EU resilience on high-protein animal feed is a priority for the EU.
The 🇪🇺Commission calls for continued actions at all governance levels and across the whole food chain to diversify sources of imports and promote sustainable #protein production and consumption.
At today’s informal #AGRIFISH meeting, we focus on the EU’s open strategic autonomy on proteins.
Our discussion will touch on a number of crucial issues: reducing our import dependencies, reinforcing sustainability, & ensuring the role of livestock in a circular economy.
