Per @afkostka, the #Orioles will listen on trade offers for anyone except Pete Alonso.
Names in play include:
- Gunnar Henderson (sources say a trade isn't likely and would cost a steep price)
- Coby Mayo, Jordan Westburg, Blaze Alexander and Christian Encarnacion-Strand (from a third base surplus)
- Ryan Helsley or Félix Bautista (late-inning relievers)
Baltimore wants a starting pitcher, outfield help and a catcher upgrade. That's after trading Adley Rutschman to Boston at the deadline.
Ever since then, Alberto has continued to make steady progress, and he is now on the 40-man roster. Don't be surprised if he plays a key role for #Rays next year.
Alexander Alberto(22) reminds me of Angel Felipe. Electric arm, long body, high-90 mph, sharp slider and late bloomer. I like Angel’s fastball more because of its movement but Alexander has a way better control. He is not a big prospect but fun prospect to watch. #Rays
Ok. Then add Alexander Alberto to 40-man roster before the minor league FA deadline. #Rays
They say the world only remembers first place and calls second place a failure. But for me, the #Rays was just as thrilling. I'm even more excited for next year.
Anyway, it worked this time. #Rays
Considering Simpson's speed, Cash likely believed that simply BIP would be enough to score a run. Below is the hitting data with RISP against LHP.
Although Vilade offered better productivity, Williams was the better choice if the goal was to avoid a K and make contact. #Rays
Gasser is the first 'real' left-handed starting pitcher the Rays will face this postseason. This poses a new challenge for the #Rays—and a hurdle they must overcome.

It's very predictable. Kelly was not the Kelly I liked.
Using a challenge early on when leverage is low is risky. Remember that actual challenge success rates are not as high as we thought. They are not looking at a screen with the strike zone drawn on it like we are. Save it for when it really matters late in the game. #Rays
