The Finance Bill 2024 has been thoroughly analyzed by financial experts, economists, and the business community. Across various segments of our country, public participation has revealed a clear consensus. Religious institutions have opposed the bill. Manufacturers and businesses of all sizes have voiced their disapproval. International financiers have raised concerns about the sustainability of the proposed taxes. The general public has warned the government against implementing these punitive taxes. Economists and other analysts have expressed skepticism about the projected impact of these excessive taxes. After reviewing the data, I WILL OPPOSE this bill, as I did last year, because Kenyans have had enough of burdensome taxes.
