We need God's help to fully grasp God's Word. This, from the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, is a helpful example of how Christians ought to prepare to listen to biblical preaching. May it be a blessing to you!

If you're interested in how Baptist churches historically worked together, this, from a theologically solid and Canadian perspective, is very helpful (and for Baptist pastors/those interested in Baptist ministry, a must-read).
What Are Baptist Associations For (Anyway) ? by Wyatt Graham "No early Baptist thought of autonomy apart from associationalism. We should be careful not to import our modern assumptions back into Baptist history." Link Below:

A must-read, with the caveat that what's discussed is national statistics, with no regional breakdowns. But this definitely tracks with what I've seen over the past 20 years. Canada needs a real revival.
In 2002, Canadian sociologist Reginald Bibby published a book with the subtitle: The Renaissance of Religion in Canada. How's that prediction held up? Religious affiliation: -14 pts. Religious importance: -15 pts. Yearly attendance: -35 pts. Weekly attendance: -14 pts.

We introduced a new song this morning: "Worthy Of It All," by Grace Church Worship, based on King David's confession in Psalm 51. Listen to the song here! youtu.be/IqQQMkpuL1Q?si=nVQW…

We need God's help to fully grasp God's Word. This Reformation-era prayer is a great example of the way we should prepare to listen to the preaching of the Bible.

Nous avons besoin de l’aide de Dieu pour saisir pleinement sa Parole. Cette prière datant de l’époque de la Réforme illustre parfaitement la manière dont nous devrions nous préparer à écouter la prédication de la Bible.

Students have been arriving at Bible colleges & seminaries the past couple weeks. I wrote a welcome letter for New Brunswick Bible Institute students last week, adapted from this letter I wrote for @CanadaTGC a number of years ago.
