The Flashing Blade (1967). The historical French children's drama set during the War of the Mantuan Succession - that's what the kids want!
It was recut and redubbed by the BBC in 1969 and frequently shown throughout the 1970s.

Probably the best advert for football & beer in the world: recorded in Dagenham in 2005 this is the Carlsberg Old Lions advert including the talents of Alan Ball, Peter Beardsley, Terry Butcher, Bobby Charlton, Jack Charlton, Stuart Pearce, Peter Reid, Bryan Robson, Peter Shilton, Chris Waddle, and Des Walker, with Sir Bobby Robson as manager.

Hey @BBCiPlayer
Is there any chance of putting some of your massive back catalogue of World Cup action on the channel.
There is absolutely next to nothing on from World Cups before 1994.
It’s as if World Cups didn’t exist before 1994.
It’s not too much to ask….surely!

A sad day in Staffordshire and the Black Country today.
Banks's brewery has brewed its last pint in over 150 years of making the world's best Mild and Bitter.
A local icon, you'll be sadly missed.

Since 1996 when ITV started showing repeats of The Big Match (The Big Match Replayed) it’s been a joy to watch the old games from the 1970s and 80s, but it’s such a shame the BBC couldn’t do the same with old Match Of The Day programmes from their extensive back catalogue!

Doesn’t matter how long you wore the famous amber and black shirt for. Whether it was at the Davey Fort or Sidmouth road. In the Perry Street league or Devon and Exeter. For the 1sts, Ressies, Bantams, Rovers or Lasers. 🍻
