A book for baseball fans of a certain age - #Dodgers  fans - ages 10 to 110. “If you love baseball, if you love the Dodgers especially, then you’ll love this book. ‘Off Base with Howard Cole: The First 25 Years’ is a charming, fun and sometimes melancholy tour in the life of a ballclub, but also of a fan. I can’t wait for ‘The Second 25 Years.’” Tim Brown, two-time New York Times bestselling author amazon.com/dp/B0HN6JTQPR?…

What do you think, should I buy this? #Dodgers

I’m going to repeat this because poor assumptions continue to be amplified. Andrew Friedman did not say in his presser last week that Shohei Ohtani does not need surgery. He didn’t. Actually, when asked about the possibility of offseason surgery for Ohtani, AF said, “that’s not on the table.” Which is like Dave Roberts saying, “we don’t think it’s IL move.” Or a pol saying “I do not intend to run for president.” They don’t intend until they do. Surgery isn’t on the table…until the player is. #Dodgers

The Rays are the 44th to team to fall behind 3-0 in a best-of-seven postseason series and just the 11th of those to avoid a sweep Of the 10 previous teams that forced a Game 5, four also forced a Game 6, two forced a Game 7 and just one (the 2004 Red Sox in the ALCS) came all the way back to win the series In the World Series specifically, no team has ever made it as far as Game 6 after being in a 3-0 hole

The Brewers are the first team ever to have the lead and be 3 outs away from a World Series title and lose the game without getting any of those 3 outs.

You can stop saying Ben Casparius is in the mix to start for #Dodgers in 2027 now @mlbtraderumors. He’s not. At all, and he’s more likely to be out looking for job.

Pointing to the ball in the air is not directing traffic. Everyone knows the ball is in the air.
