„Vodili smo otvoren i zanimljiv razgovor o miru, demokratskim vrijednostima i budućnosti BiH. Osnaživanje mladih ljudi od ključnog je značaja za očuvanje dugoročne stabilnosti u zemlji. Drago mi je što mladi sve više preuzimaju odgovornost za budućnost zemlje. Svježe ideje, oblikovanje demokratskog mišljenja i odbacivanje zastarjelih stereotipa mogu voditi BiH naprijed ka održivosti i odgovornosti“, rekao je visoki predstavnik.

“We had an open and engaging conversation about peace, democratic values, and the future of BiH. Empowering young people is essential for maintaining long-term stability in the country. I am very pleased to see young people increasingly taking the future of their country into their own hands. Fresh ideas, democratic thinking, and moving beyond outdated stereotypes can move the country forward toward sustainability and responsibility,” said the High Representative.

High Representative Schmidt participated in the commemoration ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, organized by Homework HUB and the International Center for Children and Youth Novo Sarajevo.
“Today, we all send a message together: the victims must never be forgotten. Upholding memory is essential to unity, understanding, and justice. Remembrance is the gratitude of the heart. We owe it to future generations to foster a responsible society that honors the past and ensures peace. You might have asked yourself already whether you see your own future in this country or elsewhere. But without you, the young generation, there is no future. After 30 years, it is upon you to make the difference. You are the ones who must hold the political class responsible and give them a wake-up call! I encourage you to organize yourself around your ideas of a better future. Take the steering wheel and set the political course for this country,” said HR.
