It's actually not normal, but the fact that PBS media is telling you it's normal should actually tell you a lot, shouldn't it
If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa

By the way, gratifying to see so many of my Catholic friends appreciate this post.
A lot of good things came out of the Reformation; schism isn’t one of them, and Luther never wanted it.
This reminds of a joke: A young priest asks a wise older priest, "What's the difference between the Jesuit and Dominican Orders?" The older priest says wearily, "Well, actually they have a lot in common. They were both founded by Spaniards, St. Dominic for the Dominicans, and St. Ignatius of Loyola for the Jesuits. They were also both founded to combat heresy: the Dominicans to fight the Albigensians, and the Jesuits to fight the Lutherans." The younger priest says, "I see. But where do the Jesuit and Dominican Orders really differ?" The older priest looks at him and says, "Well, have you met any Albigensians lately?"

All Saints Day service at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Guangzhou. It was meant for worshippers, not visitors. Church staff asked me as I walked up if I was a believer.
“No, but I want to hear the sermon.”
“Ok, just don’t take the Eucharist.”
Sermon played on how the Chinese translation of “saint” 聖 is borrowed from Confucian term for sage. “Just as ancient Chinese texts tell us to learn from the sages,” said the priest, “so today we can learn from the saints.”

Once per year, @elonmusk should hold an ostracism, in which all Twitter users may vote to ban one insufferable pundit for life.

Come on, Michael — If Jesus wanted us to believe his body was food and his blood was drink, he would have said so expressly.
And by the way, if he did say that, people would have thought he was crazy. Many of his disciples would have left him.
Try reading your Bible, bro.

Friends, one of the marks of the natural religious attitude is that the seekers are always in control of the conversation: They set out to find ultimate meaning on their own terms.
But a revealed religion, like Christianity, holds that God has spoken. Our quest is real and it can be holy, but what finally matters is that God has answered it on his terms.
Can’t stop laughing at this 😂
It's been 8 years, and this is still the funniest video on the internet. 😂
"SHE CAME DOWN IN A BUBBLE, DOUG!" and "AM I WRRRRONNNG?" are two of the most quoted lines between me and my older kids. The head bob with the hair movement at "THE WICKED WITCH OF THE EAST, BRO!" will never, ever not be hilarious.
And it's one of the best quick examples of the nature of male friendship to boot.
