An SED Punjab school in Sahiwal conducted a Whole School STEAM Activity in which they built a fully functioning model of a car parking system to aid drivers in parking their cars more efficiently. 🚗 Creative science and maths activities such as this empower students with hands-on learning, engineering prowess, and problem-solving skills. 💡 The activity engaged over a 100 students, with duties being divided according to grade: ✔️ Grade 6 students designed parking slots using wooden materials ✔️ Grade 7 students arranged LEDs on the parking gate to display data, and designed a module for controlling LED brightness ✔️ Grade 8 students designed the gate with the help of a servo motor and IR sensor ✔️ Grade 9 students explained the working of the IR sensor ✔️ Grade 10 installed the software in Arduino Uno and managed the working of the entire project @SchoolEduPunjab @SEDSouthPunjab @QAEDPK @PMIU_PESRP @GovtofPunjabPK @EduMinistryPK @MalalaFundPK @javedmalik73

Today was a momentous occasion! @SecMoFEPT hosted the 7 top performing STEAM Pakistan partner schools of FDE for tea at @EduMinistryPK. He appreciated the schools’ commitment to improving the learning experience of the students as part of the Ministry's initiative. Inspired by the dedication and hard work of the head teachers and the teachers, he announced appreciation awards: 1⃣ One month of bonus salary for the head teacher and the focal person 2⃣ 100K allocated to each school to further enhance hands-on teaching and learning in school (the funds will be used at the discretion of the head teacher) 🌟 A big salute to our dedicated head teachers and focal persons of FDE schools for their remarkable efforts in promoting hands-on learning for STEAM subjects!
