The Bureau of Land Management is asking for the public’s help investigating two vandalism incidents involving prehistoric petroglyph panels in the Moab area.
Names were carved into or near rock art in one incident along Highway 279 and another near Hell’s Revenge. These irreplaceable cultural resources are part of the region’s shared heritage. Once damaged, they can’t be restored.
The BLM says vandalizing or disturbing archaeological resources is a serious federal offense under the Archaeological Resources Protection Act. It can result in significant fines, imprisonment and/or exclusion from public lands.
Anyone with information that could help identify those responsible is asked to contact Moab BLM Law Enforcement at 435-259-2131.

Watching Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, speak from a White House podium bearing the U.S. presidential seal while quoting Vladimir Putin is an image I will never forget.
Dmitriev praised Maria Lvova-Belova as a great humanitarian. She is wanted by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes involving the unlawful deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children.
He then presented Melania Trump with a painting reportedly made by a girl who, according to him, “chose to remain in Russia.” It read: “I love Melania.”
Melania Trump went on to praise Newsmax for its integrity in covering the operation in Russian-occupied Oleshky, where the outlet’s journalists traveled under Russian military guidance.

I'm confused, outraged, and upset by the lack of the world's reaction to the criminal Russian double-tap in Komyshuvakha.
Search and rescue operations have been underway for 3 days now following a Russian strike on a school. Russians launched 9 guided aerial bombs, initially targeting residents gathered to receive humanitarian aid, and then striking the first responders and police officers who arrived at the scene.
People were there to receive bread!
The death toll is currently at 40 people, with over 30 still missing, and after three days, considering the explosions were so strong that recovered bodies are actually "fragments," that means that they are likely gone too.
