"BTS is preparing for group and solo activities after the world tour" - HYBE CEO during Q3 2026 earnings call.
The recent conversations on social media around BTS have been so layered, complex, stressful, yet fascinating that they have literally been keeping me up at night.
It makes me reflect on why polarization is taking over everywhere right now, especially when online spaces reward quick outrage over nuance and force people to pick sides instead of seeking context.
The truth is, many people in Korea and worldwide don't know his history, as shown by the comments on my last video from people finding out for the first time. Feeling disappointed is completely valid, but not everyone has the same information
This conversation would be much healthier if we tuned out trolls pretending to be fans to stir up drama. At the same time, we shouldn't dismiss real fans who disagree with us as "fake fans" either. It's tough on the internet, but we should try to keep these discussions grounded
Something I forgot to mention in my latest video: As a Korean, I only knew about the 2009 Chris Brown case because I was in the US at the time, hearing friends talk about it. Over time, I forgot entirely, until his song played on a livestream and people pointed it out on my video
