This Testnet Tuesday, we had a nice straightforward upgrade of pion-1 to Neutron v5.1.1.
53 mainnet validators participated in this upgrade 🎉

Today we did a changelog review of ICS v6.4.0 features with 48 participants completing two tasks..
Priority List allows consumer chains to choose which opted-in validators take precedence in their validator set. 🥇 🥈 🥉
Previously, a large Hub validator would automatically take priority, meaning small vals were at risk of being kicked out of the consumer chain set.
Our 2024 mandate ended in December, but the testnets team is optimistically hard at work on the Hub this January.
We're working with Interchain Labs to bring the first upgrade of 2025 to the Cosmos Hub mainnet while we wait for the results of our 2025 funding proposal. ..

We get lots of feedback about timezones, hardware requirements, and strict task criteria. But testnet is not for the faint of heart!
Testnet operators are the best of the best -- consistently leading the Hub's active set in upgrade time and supporting fellow operators.

Today we launched the first-ever interchain-secured version of @elys_network. Over 40 validators participated to see the Elys team in action, bringing us one step closer to our first opt-in chain on the Hub 👀 🙌

With ICS 2.0, you get to choose which chains you run...but do you know HOW to choose? 🤔
☝️ First, we made sure all validators know how to run an opt-in chain.
✌️ Today, we made sure they know how to NOT run an opt-in chain.

We're setting sail to see what @elys_network has to offer in our testnet launch tomorrow! It's not too late to join the testnet and participate (and earn USDC while you do it 🤑)!
