The WG on ICT & Data Security, on 1st April, held a productive meeting. Members received valuable updates on the ISO/IEC 27001 Auditing Practices Notes (APNs), along with information about the ITSMS standards. Members also shared their views on the future of the Working Group.

The WG on #Medical Devices held its first meeting of the year. During this meeting, Members received updates on medical device regulatory activities and discussed the latest developments regarding key ISO standards. #Accreditation

On 23 March, the Forest Working Group held a productive meeting. Members shared updates on PEFC schemes, innovation projects, and future priorities. This collaboration helps strengthen initiatives in the forest and sustainability field.

On 19/02, the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated’s newly elected Executive Committee met for the 1st time following the start of operations, discussing operational, legal & constitutional matters, stakeholder representation, and collaboration with partner organisations

At the ITU-T SG11 Opening Plenary in Geneva, the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated Chair, Brahim Houla, introduced the organisation, confirming its commitment to close cooperation with ITU in IoT testing, protocol validation, and combating counterfeit certificates.

Brahim Houla, Chair of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, visited the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates. Meetings with Dr. Farah Al Zarooni, Dr. Maryam Alsallaqi & the ENAS team highlighted progress in QI and future cooperation.

Brahim Houla, Chair of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, met with H.E. Eng. Amina Ahmed Mohammed and the EIAC team in Dubai to strengthen cooperation and discuss strategic priorities, including digital transformation and emerging accreditation scopes.
