I am so happy that Bernie Sanders is with us today to be able to see the fruits of his labor. He cultivated a whole generation of young leaders through the movement he spawned who are now winning seats everywhere. And he gets to live to witness it. Thank you, Bernie.

This was Austin, Texas last night when the state was called for James Talarico and Democrats.
This is the kind of thing you see when a dictator is overthrown.
Well, I guess that sort is what happened in a way.
Congrats everyone!

This contentious interchange between the NY Times and @GinaHinojosaTX was truly amazing. Hinojosa offered one of the best explanations of populism I've ever seen. Her comments were a total rejection of Corporate Dems' neoliberal formula. Her Texas victory is a game changer.

This answer was so fucking good:
Talarico: “My decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling.
I opened up social media and learned I had apparently dropped out of the race, had flown to a mental hospital in Ohio, that I had DIED.
False claims got millions of views online - and this is an example of what I call the ‘rage economy.’ Billionaires who own these platforms get rich, we all get angry, and nobody’s life gets any better.
Conspiracy theories don’t put food on the table, put gas in the tank, or improve our communities.
I’m going to stay focused on the very real problems facing Texans.”

Governor Abbott, I'll meet you at the Governor's Mansion next Thursday at 10 AM.
If you're not man enough to debate me, you don't deserve to be the governor of Texas.

Texans across the state are ready for change. When I am governor I’ll deliver it by securing the American Dream by saving Texas schools and putting money in your pocket.

The sun reaches less high in the sky each day as winter approaches. No amount of “Daylight Saving Time” can ever prevent it.

Most of the people, if not all, have no concept of how the physical universe works. I learned this in General Science in high school in 1960. The idea of somehow messing around with the clocks is going to stop the earth's rotation and orbit around the sun is just silly.

The best sermon is the one you live.
I preached this morning. But my real sermon happened across Texas this week, as our campaign collected 20,000 pounds of groceries for our neighbors.
As scripture says, “faith without works is dead.”

Morning light and nighttime darkness are essential to health, but Daylight Saving Time reverses these. Tell lawmakers to restore permanent Standard Time, set clocks to the sun!
