I travel a lot and this triggered streaming services to cancel my subscriptions. Especially bummed about loosing access to music from all my devices. So I set up my own Navidrome server. It feels really good to have control and ownership over my music.

Though I didn't really like any clients on android and mac os. Only handful of them are open source and I wasn't happy with their UX. Ideally want something that works everywhere (Web?).

So last week I started tinkering with my own music player. UI needs some polish but I already switched to it on my phone and laptop.
