Baldelli was thought to be a front-runner, if not the front-runner. But with three young kids and roots in Florida, Seattle appeared to be a stretch. Not sure where exactly this leaves the Mariners, but they’ve been hoping to have a manager in place in next 7-10 days.

now that I have time to answer, Ben Williamson was touted as somebody with an exceptional glove at third base. there is value in that, but he’s also an atrocious hitter. a team like the Rays, who employ Taylor Walls (elite defensive SS with an even worse bat) are seemingly fine

Williamson is truly an awful hitter that provides absolutely nothing other than at least solid bat to ball skills, which is what TB likes to target for their complimentary pieces. he is valuable in certain roles, but he’s still objectively a bad player right now.
