CONGRATULATIONS to the Solidarity Center's @ILAW_Network and labor unions in Colombia who are reshaping the country's labor law in real time. THIS is what happens when workers have the ability to participate in democratic processes ✊🏾

My latest blog for OnLabor summarizing the ICJ's advisory opinion on the right to strike and its importance for workers and union (and in only 1200 words!). Hope you find this to be a useful summary of the opinion. A longer piece forthcoming...

🚨 New Book Alert 🚨
As a follow up to the Right to Strike in International Law, ILAW is happy to announce the upcoming publication, in April, of a new, open access book -- the Right to Strike Reimagined (@hartpublishing ). Edited by Jeffrey Vogt, Tonia Novitz and Judy Fudge, and with the excellent contributions of many leading scholars and practitioners in labour law the book argues for conceptual and/or regulatory reforms to restore the ability of workers and communities to employ the right to strike according to its original aims – democratisation (in the workplace and society), redistribution (of resources and power), and collective liberation.
Information on the contents/contributors and how to access the book in April, or to pre-order physical copies, is below.
