This was a grueling episode for all who worked on it, but I think gives important context for how American imperialism has shaped so much of the way that Asian Americans are dehumanized and made to feel invisible.

Since the pandemic began, Asians and Asian Americans have been trying to sound the alarm about a dramatic uptick in reports of racism directed at their communities. Many felt like no one was listening.
