It can all hit at the same time. The bad & good. One person - unemployed, family issues, loss of friendships & relationships & it could all come together at the same time new job, new friendships & all the other good things. Whatever phase you're at be grateful & learn from it.

I couldn’t believe he was actively choosing to never see me again, to part ways… forever. After years of friendship, romantic love, and all our memories… “like are you sure?” I couldn’t fathom it. Not one ounce of my heart desired to become strangers.

When my ex was breaking up with me (last year), I remember I kept asking him, “Are you sure that’s what you want to do?” because I was so shocked and because I really don’t think people truly understand the implications of a breakup.1/2

Sometimes the plot twist is that everything was working in your favour.

I have no advice on how to date or find your soul mate. I have been in love with my husband since I was twenty-one years old. I didn't engineer that. I didn't go on thousands of dates or study the right tactics to attract him to me. There was just a voice inside me that hit me as hard as a fist: It said, I don't care if you don't understand how to love properly. You are going to learn how to love him, or you're going to hate yourself for the rest of your life.

Anything you have to exert enormous influence(pressure) before someone you’re with obliges is your sign that they aren’t all the way interested

I’m on your side fully. Me too. But reality is not on our side. I watched a woman fall out of love slowly because she was carrying the both of us while I was doing piece jobs.
I was working at cotton on while she was earning a nurse’s salary. She never fought, she never argued. She just started returning from work to shower, while het friends waited outside. She’d go out and returned whenever she wanted. I became nothing to her.
Women wholeheartedly loathe the idea of providing for a man.
