A fresh face for the north soil pit! Big thank you to Jeff from the Ag Engineering & Agronomy Farm for coming out to clean up and reshape the pit in preparation for next week’s AGRON 2790 undergraduate class. #IowaAg #ISUExtension #SoilScience

Following last week’s hail simulation, @ag_risk returned to FEEL yesterday to review crop damage. Despite damp conditions, it was a great day to evaluate how hail impacts corn and soybeans! #IowaAg #ISUExtension #NationalCropInsuranceServices

Hands-on learning starts in the field! 🌽 National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) used the FEEL hail machine today to create realistic hail damage for next week's training event. A huge thank you to @HyVeeBoone for donating the ice and @ISUdining for providing the ice cooler!

There's never a dull day at FEEL! From growing alfalfa and scouting soybeans to corn pollination and assessing flood impacts, our research plots are telling the story of the 2026 growing season. 🌱🌽 #IowaAg #ISUExtension

Some interesting observations in the FEEL plots this week! 🌽 We're seeing goosenecking in one corn plot while neighboring plots remain upright. Was it wind, saturated soils, hybrid differences, or something else? #ISUExtension #IowaAg

AGRON 5940 is gearing up for three exciting days of hands-on learning at FEEL and other Iowa State research farms! We're excited to welcome the group to Ames for a week of exploring agricultural research and innovation. 🌽 #ISUExtension #IowaAg

Hay Day brought farmers and industry together for a day of learning about alfalfa stand management, common field pests, and how drones can support agricultural operations. Thank you to our speakers, @ErinHodgson_ISU, Luke & Doug with @ISUDigitalAg, and Shelby Gruss! #ISUExtension

Something new is coming to FEEL... 👀📦Today's unboxing gives a sneak peek at our latest project. Any guesses what's inside? Stay tuned to see what we're adding to the farm! 🌱 #ISUExtension #IowaAg

Mother Nature kept us on our toes this week. Two rounds of storms brought strong winds and heavy rainfall to the Ames area, leaving standing water and some green snap in corn fields.🌽⛈️ #FEEL #ISUExtension #IowaAg

We had an (unplanned) learning experience at FEEL last week! Any guesses as to what happened? #LearningExperience #IowaAg #ISUExtension

Great to have the New Century FS interns out today for crop scouting and weed identification! Thanks to @nciacrops and @Tunweeds for leading the discussion and sharing their expertise. #ISUExtension #IowaAg
