Left lead or right lead? 🐴 Our animated equine gaits now split the canter into both leads, show the gallop clearly as a four-beat gait, and slow right down to a tenth of normal speed so you can study the footfall. ivalalearn.com/blog/equine-g… #EquineVet
Disbudding or dehorning on the list? 🐄 Our new 3D cow skull highlights the cornual, infratrochlear, supraorbital and infraorbital nerves and the landmarks around them, for a quick review before you block the horn. ivalalearn.com/blog/cow-skul… #FarmVet #VetAnatomy

We’re giving ruminants some extra love with a new addition: an interactive 3D cow skeleton! We’ve also integrated two standalone models, the cow reproductive tract and the stomach, to provide richer anatomical context in 3D.
3D: CANINE ECHO SIMULATOR - PREDEFINED PROBE POSITIONS. We’ve added the ability within the canine echo simulator, to move quickly to common echocardiography views:
The canine larynx, its cartilages & muscles are really tricky to understand. With this content we hope to demystify the structures and relationships, and something cool we've also done is animate the larynx during normal respiration & during paralysis. Check it out!
We’ve implemented dynamic scaling, so whether you’re working on a small screen or an ultrawide monitor the interface should look great! Also, if you’re someone that appreciates bigger (or smaller) text sizes, you can change the size yourself👁️☺️
We’ve built an incredible system that labels structures ‘on the fly’. We’re putting this to great use in our cardiac projects where you are slicing through the heart in real-time & now can see the structures labelled as they become visible. We’re sure you’re going to love it🧡😉
Some content from our neurolocalisation project work. Can you see a neurological deficit and if so, what would be the likely neurolocalisation?
We've just released a flashcard deck detailing some of the most common ophthalmological conditions that are seen in our ruminant patients🐄🐑🐐. Armed with this & your ophthalmoscope, we hope your days on the farm will be a little less intimidating when it comes to eyes👁.
We've given the 3D Anatomy Viewer interface a makeover; sprucing up the user experience to be cleaner and more friendly. For those familiar with the previous version, navigation should be intuitive. New users or those wanting a refresher can watch our revamped Getting Started video ivalalearn.com/getting-start…
The Canine Internal Organs combines the thoracic and abdominal anatomy that was already in our anatomy library, as well as showing the passage of some new structures such as the trachea, oesophagus and diaphragm. Whilst we usually focus clinically on specific regions whilst practicing vet med, having an overall understanding of how anatomy relates is, of course, important.
🐾We're thrilled to release the full musculature of the canine, which lets you see the relationship between all of the muscles in ‘one-go’. We had many of these muscles previously with just a regional focus, but one area we didn’t have at all in our collection previously, was the muscles of the spine. These are naturally a part of this new content. We're especially proud of this release because we think it's the first of its kind to achieve such anatomical fidelity.🏆
🔎We've launched it as a 'beta' version for now, knowing that there are likely small improvements to make when it comes to the origin, insertion, and overall structure of the muscles. But since there's nothing else like it out there, we figured it's better to let you all learn from it while our anatomists give it a once-over.🧐
🎨Oh, and just a heads up - we haven't focused on making it look pretty just yet (tendons and muscles aren't the same color in real life obviously), but we'll get to that later.
💬Additionally, if you see anything that could be improved, or have any general feedback, don't hesitate to let us know using the feedback button directly within the 3D content. Enjoy exploring!
We’ve added an outline to the highlight that shows when you select anatomy to make your selection that bit clearer. It also functions by default so that even when the anatomy is obscured, the outline shows. 'The X-ray effect' ( also disable-able ;) ) Enjoy! 🩻
UPDATE: we’ve just released a refresh of the chinchilla skull scan, where we’ve kept one half of the skull transparent so the teeth roots can be easily visualised. Hopefully useful for understanding the angles involved whilst performing those dreaded extractions😬🦷🔧
Newly released Multiple Choice Questions Course and Flashcards deck is based around the assessment of equine trunk anatomy. Surface features, organs, musculature; it covers it all! Available to all members of VIN.com and ivalalearn.com now.
