After months of hard work, we were excited to complete our SNS decentralization swap on Friday. The team took a well-deserved break over the weekend, and we’re now back to implementing the next stages in our roadmap. However, we’d like to address the misinformation that’s been generated and spread over the weekend regarding FuelEV (some people still call us FuelDAO- guess they missed our rebranding post xitter.gq/fuel_ev/status/1866127…🙂). 1. We’re a team of experienced operators, having built businesses and products over various geographies for a combined 30 years of experience. It is no surprise that the world is moving rapidly towards EV autonomous vehicles, and we at FuelEV are committed to making that happen. Our journey towards this has been ongoing for more than a year now. This was not our first attempt at creating an SNS DAO - back in June 2024, we tried to launch an SNS under our former name FuelDAO. At the time, Dfinity and the IC community felt we were too early, and rejected our proposal: dashboard.internetcomputer.o…. We accepted the decision and have toiled away for months to improve our product suite and rework the business model, based on the feedback that we received in June 2024. We’ve been in touch with Dfinity since then, and have continued to provide them with updates about our project and strategic direction. 2. We announced our intent to create an SNS DAO for the second time in December 2024 to the community via a forum post: forum.dfinity.org/t/upcoming…. The post was live for more than a month for the community to conduct their due diligence and consequently deliberate and inquire about the project (significantly greater time than the prescribed 15 days as per the SNS voting guidelines of Dfinity). As expected, the community did have questions about the business model and other aspects of the project. We answered all of them and satisfied all guidelines as prescribed for an SNS proposal. 3. We’ve extensively engaged with the IC community and the public through various forums over the past year. We’ve talked about our vision, team, and progress at length across AMAs and articles. From our first attempt at the SNS back in June 2024 to launching our product suite and generating revenue in our first city network- we’ve come a long way. Given FuelEV is now a DAO, our ICP treasury is completely governed by it. This means any withdrawals of ICP/FUEL tokens would require a proposal, the passing of which is the complete prerogative of our investors. The decentralization of voting power ensures a rug pull is not possible, which is the whole purpose of achieving decentralization through the IC technology stack. We’re here to build a long-term business and unlock value for both our customers and investors alike. 5. FuelEV does have a connection to YRAL - one of their founders is our advisor. We’ve taken a lot of advice regarding the IC technology stack and building an early-stage startup from them and other SNS projects. We strongly believe that mutually beneficial collaboration between various projects is an integral part that will fuel the growth of the ecosystem. Building in isolation is not the way forward and we fully intend to continue taking advice from SNS projects and collaborating with them as potential synergies get unlocked. 6. Investing is a choice, and we always recommend doing your own research before making an investment decision. We were fortunate to have Dfinity and the IC community not only do ample due diligence on the project but also set strict guidelines for projects to move an SNS proposal. However, spreading FUD about the project despite public discourse through so many channels is just plain wrong. To us, it is abundantly clear that this is a targeted, racist hate campaign on #FuelEV and its team members. However, we do not let the few dissuade us from achieving our long-term vision. We’re focused on the goals we set out to achieve, and will soon be sharing a roadmap for the upcoming months.
