Duke

Much like every other #Panthers fan, I have an opinion on trading DB95. Instead of just sharing it, I want to look at the rational case for both sides. Both have real benefits: Keep DB95🛑 - Still in his prime at 28 and locked in through 2028 (no real urgency to move him) - Elite runstuffer who makes the entire dline better (helps the edge rushers) - True interior anchors are hard to replace in free agency. The draft rarely yields immediate impact at that spot (hence the price tags of these DTs) - Currently in a division race - moving a core player risks short term regression - Long term locker room presence - moving him risks a morale hit - If Wash fails, you have an attractive core piece to lure a DC candidate in the offseason Trade DB95↔️ - Brings back assets to address depth issues on a roster that will have significant turnover by 2028 - Realistic chance to land a late first or a solid package of assets (trade value roughly in that range) - Frees up major future money that could go toward a BY9 extension, more defensive help, or OL upgrades - Opens the door to get younger/cheaper at DT with pieces already on the roster (Hunter, Hall, etc.) - Avoids paying top of market money long term for a player who’s more of a run anchor than high volume pass rusher Either direction is defensible depending on how you weigh short term competitiveness against longer term flexibility. Monday will be interesting. #KeepPounding
