Looking forward to speaking at Tokenized Economy 2026 in Abuja.
We’re at an interesting point where digital assets are moving from speculation into real financial infrastructure.
The bigger question now is how we build systems that are useful, regulated, and actually solve problems for businesses and institutions across Africa.
Looking forward to the conversation.

At some point in life, you'll feel like you're losing the race. It's important to remember... There's is no race.

do it so much and so often the universe has no choice but to reward you. be relentless.
I recently spoke at TEDxMaitama about a question I keep coming back to:
As the rules of money are being rewritten, will they be written for Africa, or by Africa?
My view is simple:
We need to move from only building on top of other people’s systems to helping shape the rails themselves.
Build rails, not apps.

I talked to a founder who was demoralized because all the ideas he could think of could be easily duplicated. I told him to ignore that worry; nearly all startup ideas are like that at first. Their value is the other ideas they lead to.
In 1944, the rules of modern money were written with almost no African representation.
Today, those rules are being rewritten again.
Stablecoins. Tokenised deposits. Instant settlement.
The bigger question is: who owns the rails?
Africa doesn’t have to be a price-taker this time.
I explored this in my TEDx talk here:

Last week, our CEO joined Eventhive’s Nigeria Manufacturing & Trade Outlook 2026, to discuss how technology is reshaping Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
Just like every industry, change happens and gaps are created, technology is available but what happens when businesses struggle to adopt to this change?
These conversations eventually trickle down to payments infrastructure. Industrial businesses have different needs and the infrastructure supporting them needs to be built with those needs in mind.
That is the problem Blaaiz is solving. We have built the infrastructure for cross border payments and stablecoins rails that helps businesses move money.
One thing we discussed at the Nigeria Manufacturing & Trade Outlook:
Digital payments are not enough.
For manufacturers, the real friction is often underneath the payment:
FX, Liquidity, Compliance, Reconciliation.
Disconnected invoicing and procurement systems.
And then there’s credit.
Great conversation at the Nigeria Fintech Forum on what sustainable growth should look like for Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem.
We discussed the shift from growth at all costs to stronger, revenue-led models, and the role regulation, infrastructure, and market realities will play in shaping what comes next.
Always valuable to exchange perspectives with people building across the ecosystem.
Thank you to the organisers and fellow panelists.
Still reflecting on my @TEDxMaitama talk.
I spoke about the evolution of money and one question that has stayed with me:
Who gets to write the next set of rules?
Money has moved from ledgers, to coins, to paper, to fractional ownership, and now to digital value that can move across borders in seconds.
Africa adopted many of the previous systems after they had already been designed elsewhere.
This time, we have an opportunity to do more than participate.
We can build the rails.
We can shape the regulation.
We can design for the people the old system left behind.
The future of money is already being written.
Africa should not just be a user of it.
We should help write it.
Thank you to @TEDxMaitama for the opportunity to share this idea.
The rules of money are open for edits.
Pick up the pen.

Replying to @tosinolaseinde
They bring ownership, solve problems without constant direction, and give you the freedom to focus on higher-leverage work.
Looking forward to joining industry leaders at the Nigeria Fintech Forum this week.
Excited to discuss the future of payments, financial infrastructure, and what it will take to build truly borderless commerce across Africa.
Register to attend: fintech.eventhive.ng/.
Most people only think about money when they make a payment.
I spend most of my time thinking about the systems that make those payments possible.
Looking forward to sharing that perspective at @TEDxMaitama
