Last month we launched the #DiplomaticSaunaSociety in New Delhi. Sauna is an integral part of Finnish culture and many Finnish diplomatic missions also have a sauna. I'm super happy to be able to share the Embassy sauna with our Indian friends! 🤩
In October, Embassy of #Finland launched the #DiplomaticSaunaSociety in New Delhi with four networking events at the Embassy sauna. Attendees experienced a truly Finnish evening with food, drinks and 80 degrees of Finnish sauna, thereby becoming members of the society. 🇫🇮

In 2020, Finnish #sauna culture was added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. UNESCO recognised sauna as an important part of #Finland’s living cultural tradition. Many Finnish diplomatic missions also have a sauna. The picture is from the Embassy sauna in New Delhi.

Thank you to all attendees for making the sauna evenings so enjoyable! And thanks to our partners: Otso Deli for the delicious food, @Kyrodistillery for the tasty rye-based gin and Nordic Beauty Inc. for the Finnish natural skincare products that gave the final touch!

VIDEO | Gandhinagar, Gujarat: At the WCEF 2026, Finland Environment Minister Sari Multala said, "I had a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, as well as Energy Minister Rushikesh Patel. I also met with businesses at this forum. They have been telling me that this event has been very helpful, new connections are being made, lessons are being learned, and new solutions are being discussed. I think this is very good. It is great that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approached this with a very high level of ambition and proposition, providing practical tools for people so they can actually incorporate these habits into their daily lives. Things need to be simple for us so we can bring circularity into our own lives. Then, companies come into play to scale these circular solutions and technologies. We need policymakers, the general public and businesses working together to help circularity grow in both India and Finland."
