Would you look at that, it’s exactly what I said would happen. Young white men blamed, and the message is that Republicans ought to actually do less for them. This will come down entirely to whether those on our side can win against this within the internal GOP party structure.

White men and women were the only 2 Demographics to vote majority in favor of the GOP and yet here's Joel Berry attacking them instead of everyone else who voted for dems.

Their whole platform is just not being White. Dems won by being the other party during an unpopular war and its cost-of-living crisis. Republicans stayed home, and many voted blue out of spite. If Dems keep this up then 2028 will go red easily.
Funnily enough, many people in these replies seem to think I’m mocking White men for voting this way.
I’m not.
I’m very proud of my demographic for voting correctly.
This is a perfect example for why I think only White men should be allowed to vote.

There will be two competing autopsies over what happened tonight
One side, the younger and future of the Republican Party, will rightfully pin this on the Iran war
The other side, the old guard of the Republican Party, will try to say it was mean deportation stuff or not getting minorities to vote for us, or anything BUT their horrible policies of foreign interventionism at the cost of the American economy
The problem is the money is held by that old guard. They also have decades of precedent as the policy makers, king makers, and agenda setters of the GOP. You literally cannot have a party without their money or infrastructure. But they support stupid policies like the Iran war, amnesty, etc.
What are we supposed to do then? I’m open to answers. I was wrong about the midterms because I genuinely thought people just didn’t care about the Iran war that much that it would drive them to elect DSA candidates. But I don’t think I’m wrong about the above. So what do we do? How do we wrestle control away from the old guard without blowing up the infrastructure and funding of the party?
Note: Despite the record-breaking blue tsunami, White men still had the GOP’s back.
White men are the backbone of the Republican Party.

The Iran War is the greatest political blunder in the last two decades at least. A catastrophically stupid decision. An unforgivable betrayal of America First principles.
Called it.
Exactly as I expected. Now can everyone please stop with the “muh based Latinos” nonsense. Despite Trump’s terrible approval, Whites still backed him.
Now I wanna see exit polls that show Race+Sex+Age demographics.
Racial breakdown of 2026 midterm exit polls show that Whites are the only group to lean Republican, with Latinos, Asians, and Blacks firmly voting blue.

"They're mentally ill and need help."
You're absolving them of responsibility when what you should be doing is crushing them into oblivion whilst you have power.
Stakes are too high these days.
Here’s my 2026 US Midterm prediction.
My 2024 prediction was nearly 100% accurate (I predicted 312 EVs and +1 popular vote win for Trump).
I’m not as interested in politics this year as I was in 2024, so I don’t expect this prediction to be as accurate as the last one.

The White underclass is a miracle, and probably why the West has succeeded.
Thomas Frank wrote “What’s the Matter with Kansas” to explore why poor Whites don’t vote for socialist policies that would (narrowly, in the short-term) benefit them. Of course he concluded it was about racism, as he was predetermined to do by his ideology.
But I actually think he highlighted an incredibly important fact: poor White Americans, uniquely among underclasses globally, don’t vote for socialism.
The typical dynamic is rich people trying to keep what they have and poor people trying to take it. But the American lower-class White does not behave this way, because he has a deontological aversion to government interference. The collection of attitudes and beliefs described as “rugged individualism” are often assessed in terms of how they impact the individual, but I think it’s much more important to consider how they impact a nation.
(White) America has the world’s least resentful or grasping underclass. This is a treasure. They should be preserved and rewarded. Many might be net-negative fiscally in a narrow sense, but they are hugely net-positive if you consider their votes. Trump famously said “I love the poorly educated.” He was right to say this. Every nation has an elite. No other nation has such a high quality of virtuous common people.
