I’m very curious how much these visa issues are related to a certain new president’s immigration laws.
Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier are still having Visa issues

Get ready to hear the words "weird" and "plainspoken" a lot during the media's everyday political discourse.

Me, whispering to the rest of Twitter: *Psssst. Nobody reply*
Apple wants to sell me more space on the cloud because I am near limit. Anyone know how to DELETE from the cloud to open space?

This is a missed opportunity to reuse the Amtrak flippy board thing from 30th Street Station, but at least it's a good reminder for visiting Temple Health after you've eaten too many Herr's Chips, Chick-Fil-A and Hatfield meats.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this one, but Councilmember Jones' office faceplanted an attempt to add security cameras to a Wissahickon trailhead in Roxborough by purchasing cameras that are incompatible with @PhillyPolice's software. chestnuthilllocal.com/storie…

Jeffrey Lurie doesn’t understand when to use semicolons. Disappointing.
Jeffrey Lurie in a statement from the team: "Jason was an incredible football player; a future Hall of Famer who would have been successful anywhere. But has there ever been a more perfect marriage between a player, a city, and a team?"

Just got a promotional email from @47 Brand with the tag “Built to Last,” which I can’t help but feel is a thinly veiled shot at @Nike at @Fanatics. Bravo. (cc: @FanaticsSucks)

The Democratic City Committee removed 14 of its committee members in NW Philly last month. Their removal revealed a disconnect between those CMs, who feel its their job to serve their neighbors, and the DCC, which thinks their job to serve the party. chestnuthilllocal.com/storie…

Looks like Governor @JoshShapiroPA listened to all the ruckus about the need for transit funding. He is calling for $282.8 million extra in increased funding to transit agencies in PA, a big chunk of which would likely go to SEPTA.

If it’s included in the upcoming budget, it should avoid the death spiral of service cuts and fare increases SEPTA had feared.

Just when transparency and integrity matter most, @SInow passes off merely asking AdVon if it used AI as a serious "investigation." It also "strongly condemns" the fake bylines in the very last paragraph of its statement and credits an anonymous "spokesperson" in the process.
Today, an article was published alleging that Sports Illustrated published AI-generated articles. According to our initial investigation, this is not accurate. The articles in question were product reviews and were licensed content from an external, third-party company, AdVon Commerce. A number of AdVon’s e-commerce articles ran on certain Arena websites. We continually monitor our partners and were in the midst of a review when these allegations were raised. AdVon has assured us that all of the articles in question were written and edited by humans. According to AdVon, their writers, editors, and researchers create and curate content and follow a policy that involves using both counter-plagiarism and counter-AI software on all content. However, we have learned that AdVon had writers use a pen or pseudo name in certain articles to protect author privacy – actions we strongly condemn – and we are removing the content while our internal investigation continues and have since ended the partnership. - Spokesperson for The Arena Group

A new civic group in Germantown and Mt. Airy that was approved by the city over the summer has left a lot of neighbors in both communities questioning its legitimacy. Here's the story in the most recent issue of the Local: chestnuthilllocal.com/storie…

The Germantown Y saga continues with pretty big news: Ken Weinstein is seeking to take control of the Germantown Y from the city via Act 135 after its contracted developer, KBK Enterprises, has struggled to complete the project. chestnuthilllocal.com/storie…

Five poll workers at the Chestnut Hill Friends Meetinghouse told me that a city employee "accosted" them in front of voters and caused a scene after the man was allegedly sent by the City Commissioners Office to fix an IT issue. The bizarre story is here: chestnuthilllocal.com/storie…

Among the craziest allegations is that, according to witnesses, the city employee went over to a man who traditionally plays the piano for voters on election day in the meetinghouse and nearly slammed the keyboard cover onto the pianist’s hands while he was performing.
