"The academy must be taken seriously, not as a ceremonial guest at sports events, but as a strategic partner in talent pipeline development. Conclusion Football is increasingly won not only on the pitch, but also in the model. The ball still rolls, the crowd still roars, and serendipity still smiles. But the nations that will rise are those that can combine talent with tactics, passion with parameters, and coaching with credible modelling. The next competitive advantage may not be the loudest chant in the stadium. It may be the quiet equation behind the thrilling tournament, and our good mathematical modellers, our systems thinkers and almost-forgotten researchers, are the powerhouse of this golden talent that must henceforth be part of the coaching and sports advisory committees if African teams are serious about transforming the “86th-Minute Effect” into an unassailable mathematical advantage." impactborderlesdigital.com/2….

The truest test of professionalism is not how gracefully one receives praise, but how expertly one handles criticism. Criticism tests character; the response reveals professionalism. Professionalism isn't the absence of mistakes, but the presence of competence, composure, integrity, and accountability when challenged.

To secure career security in today's rapidly changing global technology marketplace, the youth need to be connected to structured mentorship programmes like the one @KIPPRAKENYA has been promoting through #KMPUT

Remember these key points by @hopadero: 1. We have to focus on career security, not employment security - a shifting horizon with the reducing half-life of skills in the borderless technology marketplace in the AI era. Be a level 3 user of AI, where you're a solution provider to a real world problem and not just a consumer of AI outputs. 2. For every 2 jobs retired by automation, 3 new jobs are created for the digitally fluent. Being a casualty among the 2 or a beneficiary among the 3 is your choice as a youth. 3. Watch out for the infodemic, the new pandemic of doomscrolling and information overload. Strive to be busy being productive, not busy being busy. My presentation was shared, or contact me to share.
The KMPUTs Day 1 at Pwani University concluded with insightful presentations by Dr Nashon Adero from @ImpactBorderle1 on “Digital Skills Revolution: Leveraging AI for Evidence-Based Policy Research, Innovation, and Youth Employment in the Digital Economy,” and Mr Titus Yego from @Ncpwds on Empowering young persons with disabilities through inclusive public planning, budgeting and highlighted pathways for enhancing economic opportunities for them. #ThinkingPolicyTogether #YouthEmpowerment

Ndindi indeed, the overworking analyst - what would be your proposed magic formula for fixing our widening education funding gap, estimated to exceed KSh 2T by the 2030/31 Financial Year? Loans, grants, or what's the viable ratio for the mix? #JKLive @KoinangeJeff @citizentvkenya

Working parents should not be punished twice—through higher taxes and reduced public support for their children.
