This week, our Patron, His Majesty The King, honoured the service and sacrifice of British, Guyanese and Commonwealth forces during a visit to Georgetown (Rabbit Walk) Cemetery in Guyana, laying a wreath in memory of those who have given their lives in conflict.
We care for the graves of six men from both World Wars, representing the naval, army and air forces of the British Commonwealth, as well as the Merchant Navy. The Georgetown (Timehri) Memorial, within this cemetery, commemorates those men who have no known grave.

421 years ago today, the Gunpowder Plot was foiled in the cellars beneath the House of Lords.
More than four centuries later, the event is still marked at the State Opening of Parliament, when the Yeomen of the Guard ceremonially search the cellars before the King arrives.
