People like “the concept of Armored core”(lol) but when faced with actually playing the games as they exist they vehemently dislike it and that’s why you see shit like the dual analog patches for old gen on people saying you should just start with 4th gen

Simply just make bosses less important and regular enemies more important, the biggest use case of conditionals is already going to be encounters with multiple foes anyway

I firmly believe that if you are creating a game and you put status ailments in the game, only to make every single elite enemy and boss completely immune to status ailments altogether, I think you should reconsider being a game designer and ponder busking for coins on the street

I guess bosses *can* be important narratively but idk why boss defenders act like it’s a core element and every single game needs to implement them in their structure, there are defo a lot of games that would e better with less or even no bosses
