Some pretty shocking stats in the latest @McKinsey 'Women in the Workplace' report.
For every 100 men promoted and hired to manager, only 72 women are promoted and hired. Men hold 62 percent of manager-level positions, while women hold just 38 percent.

Women in the UK still earn less, own less and do the majority of unpaid care work. This means we rely more on public services like care, health + education. Ask your candidate, will you commit to services which work for women? #GEforWomen2019

ā....women who sought equal payā ? Isnāt that something we should all be striving for? Itās certainly not something only wanted by the 120 women unlucky enough to have their names leaked. lnkd.in/evX4NvX

"Instead of looking at how to get more women in power in the existing system, why arenāt we talking about building a different system? ... We need to get back to toppling the patriarchy not just sticking women on top of it," says @amywestervelt on "abandoning corporate feminism."

Around one in three of the top 1% of income tax payers are business owners, including 14% of the top 1% who are partners.
These groups pay less tax than employees ā a policy choice which provides substantial tax advantages to some of the very highest-income people in society.
