The discussions highlighted the potential for GIFT IFSC 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀, strengthening financial connectivity between Qatar and India.
The possibility of establishing an IBU was explored as a potential avenue for QDB to leverage GIFT IFSC's growing international banking ecosystem and support financial and commercial relationships between businesses in both countries.
The interaction provided an opportunity to explore avenues for QDB's participation in the GIFT IFSC ecosystem, subject to the applicable regulatory framework and commercial considerations.

🇮🇳🤝🇶🇦 Promoting Cultural Ties through Indian Cinema
The Embassy of India, Doha, in collaboration with the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, organised a screening of the acclaimed Gujarati film Hellaro on 25 October 2026, which witnessed an overwhelming turnout of members of the Indian community and friends of India.
H.E. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, highlighted the role of cinema in promoting cultural understanding, strengthening people-to-people ties and deepening the longstanding bonds of friendship between India and Qatar.
The event reaffirmed the importance of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual appreciation and enhancing bilateral relations.
