We're tired of watching Washington accomplish so little, and apparently some members of Congress are tired as well. As @adam_brandon points out, just 2 or 3 Independent victories could convince frustrated Republicans and Democrats to leave their parties.

In closely contested races from Montana to Texas to Georgia, Independent voters have more power than we’re often given credit for. The two major parties may choose their candidates, but it’s our votes that help decide who wins.
46
Election rules shouldn't favor political parties over voters. When Independent candidates face barriers to getting on the ballot, we're left with fewer choices and less competition.

Independent U.S. Senate candidate Todd Achilles raises a question we should all be asking: Why does fixing the national debt always seem to start with spending cuts instead of making sure billionaires and corporations pay their fair share?

We expect competition in business, so why do we accept so little of it in politics? With nearly every seat in Congress held by Republicans or Democrats, it's no wonder we're questioning whether the two-party system gives voters enough choices.
44
Independent U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn's position is clear: political parties shouldn't dictate how our elected officials represent us.

A party label doesn't tell the whole story of what we believe or how we vote.

The only party our elected representatives should answer to is the people they represent. That's the message behind Independent U.S. Senate candidate Seth Bodnar's declaration: “Montana is my party.”

Montana is known for its mountains, wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes, not as a place to blow things up. President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the Department of War should recognize what we stand to lose when natural beauty becomes a weapons testing ground.

After working in Washington for 20 years, @adam_brandon understands why Americans feel unrepresented by our political system. The frustration that brought voters to Trump reflects a much bigger problem with Washington.

From Idaho to Montana, Nebraska, and beyond, we're seeing Independent candidates challenge the traditional two-party landscape, with Independents appearing on U.S. Senate ballots in 15 states in 2026.

We've reached a point where having the money to run for Congress can matter more than having the qualifications to serve. Independent U.S. Senate candidate Todd Achilles calls out a political system that's increasingly favoring wealth over representation.

As a father of two daughters, Independent U.S. Senate candidate Seth Bodnar brings a personal perspective to reproductive freedom, an issue that affects families across our country. His position has earned support from Planned Parenthood and Reproductive Freedom for All.

Nearly 250 years ago, John Adams warned us about the dangers of dividing our republic into two competing political parties. Looking at where we are today, it's hard to ignore how much of that warning still resonates.

Country over party shouldn't be a controversial idea. Shannon O'Brien says that Independent U.S. Senate candidate Seth Bodnar gives Montana voters a competitive alternative to the usual two-party choices.

Our options with President Trump's war with Iran are narrowing, and none of them look simple. Independent U.S. Senate candidate Todd Achilles warns that reopening the Strait of Hormuz could require American ground troops.

The disgusting attack ad in the Ohio governor’s race points to a much bigger problem in politics. The political parties don't care about the character or integrity of their candidates anymore. They only care about power — no matter what it takes. We need common sense leadership, and once again, the parties are failing to meet the moment.

Sometimes change starts with a few voices willing to challenge the status quo. The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin is one of those voices, calling out how special interests keep us divided and push our politics toward extremes.
