As part of #SpecialCampaign6.0, the Department of Science and Technology @IndiaDST, undertook a deep cleaning exercise in the 3rd Floor of the office premises to promote cleanliness, hygiene and a sustainable workplace.
The initiative focused on the upkeep of office premises, workstations, and common areas, encouraging staff to adopt good housekeeping practices and contribute towards a clean, organised and healthy working environment.

A delegation of the "Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) Association" called on to express appreciation for timely promotions being undertaken by the Department of Personnel &Training #DoPT, as well as for the opportunity provided by the Ministry to employee associations to present their service-related concerns regularly from time to time.
Assured them that they are always welcome to offer their inputs to DoPT, because our primary purpose is to provide ease of working in the offices for better governance. From an early fellowship to developing rocket propulsion technologies, testing infrastructure, and reusable launch systems, our journey has been one of learning, perseverance, and continuous progress.

Participated in e-waste disposal activity at the Department of Personnel & Training #DoPT headquarters under #Special_Swachhata_Campaign 6.0 at Kartavya Bhawan. The entire team of officers as well as rest of the staff, let by Secretary DoPT Smt Rachna Shah, joined the exercise.
e-Items disposed today included 152 desktops, 35 printers, 8 scanners, 3 photocopier machines, 59 UPS units, 52 air conditioners, 4 television sets, 5 refrigerators,17 water dispensers, 217 miscellaneous items etc, with base price of Rs 9 lakh.
During the ongoing month-long campaign from Gandhi Jayanti Oct 2 to Patel Jayanti Oct 31, undertaken in response to a call by PM Sh @narendramodi ji, approximately ₹490 crore has already been generated through the disposal of scrap within the first 15–17 days. The figure is likely to be more than double by October 31. GeM Portal has been adopted for the disposal process.

#WATCH | Delhi: On Swachhata Campaign 6.0, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said, "Shortly after becoming Prime Minister in 2014, PM Modi initiated this from the Red Fort... It soon evolved into a mass movement, and we have continued to carry it forward each year, building upon our previous experiences. About 6 years ago, it was decided that we should conduct a dedicated cleanliness campaign for one month... The period chosen for this, from October 2nd (Gandhi Jayanti) to October 31st (Patel Jayanti), has been observed for the past six years. This year marks the 6th edition of the cleanliness campaign (Swachhata Campaign 6.0). The initiative is assessed periodically, and insights from previous campaigns are used to introduce new dimensions... We have learned how to manage this waste effectively, ensuring it does not go to waste but is instead converted into revenue by bringing it to the market. Over the past 5 years, through the collection of scrap... we have managed to contribute nearly Rs 6,000 crore or even more to the government exchequer..."

Convened a meeting of the Secretaries of Government of India at DoPT, Kartavya Bhawan-3, to review the progress of #SpecialSwachhataCampaign 6.0.
As on October 19, 2026, the last 17 days of the campaign have covered 8,34,509 cleanliness sites, compared to 2,75,432 during the corresponding period last year, a 3.03-fold increase.
Revenue earned through scrap disposal has reached ₹491.28 crore within 17 days, against ₹304.72 crore last year, marking a 1.61-fold increase. The campaign has also freed 116 lakh sq. ft. of space, compared to 113.12 lakh sq. ft. during the corresponding period of Campaign 5.0.
#DoPT has reallocated 2,000 sq ft of space at the ground floor of Kartavya Bhawan-3 to set up a “Workplace Crèche”, while Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances #DARPG, which is the nodal department conducting the campaign, has additionally freed 1,200 sq. ft. of office space to set up recreation zone.

As a part of #SpecialSwachhataCampaign 6.0, rearranged and reoriented 2,000 sq feet space on the ground floor of Kartavya Bhawan-3 to start a “Workplace Crèche” by #DoPT in collaboration with Greh Kalyan Kendra. This also reaffirms our commitment to a more inclusive and family-friendly workplace.
The facility provides a safe, nurturing environment for 30–35 children, with dedicated spaces for play, learning, feeding and rest.
Reliable childcare is especially important for working mothers, enabling them to focus on their professional responsibilities with peace of mind, with the confidence that their children are in safe and caring hands.

Over the last few years, India has launched several national missions, the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme and transformative initiatives such as the Anusandhan National Research Foundation @ANRFIndia and the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) initiative to strengthen its technology and innovation ecosystem.
In an article in @EconomicTimes, co-authored with Aditya Sinha @adityasinha004 , we argue that, like other major economies, India needs an evidence based list of technologies critical to its national interests.
These technologies should be assessed on three key parameters: sovereignty risk, economic potential and private capital availability. Each should then be evaluated to identify gaps in research expertise, technology development, product scaling, market creation or demand aggregation.
Government missions and programmes can then be aligned to address these specific gaps, bringing greater coherence to our efforts and transforming individual initiatives into a unified national strategy for technological self-reliance.
