Yesterday we spent a lot of time on this Riven mirror spot: T2 OTD. They might have Blitz. If you buff Riven, they can move in, stun yours in base and kill it. Game almost ends there. What’s your line? Think beyond the current hand and consider all possible plays.

I saw that @LotharHS posted a really cool heronless Riven deck on @PiltoverArch , so I wanted to try making a similar version under $50 for the budget deck challenge! What do you think? (sideboard price is not included in $50 budget)

ANOTHER FUN #RBRadiance Interaction If you are playing Riven, The Exile, and you control a Battlefield. You can play Baron -READY- to the Baron pit. You do so by choosing to play Baron to a BF you control. Then, Baron Nashor enters the newly created Baron Pit ready. The order of the effects does not change the result. The key is that you originally played Baron Nashor to a battlefield you control. That is enough for The Exile to make it enter ready. Baron Nashor then changes where it enters, sending it to Baron Pit instead, but this does not undo the ready effect. One effect changes where Baron Nashor enters, while the other changes whether it enters ready or exhausted. Because they change different things, applying them in either order gives the same result. Akali was Tier D before winning an RQ. Ezreal won one while Draven was “broken.” Ornn won one during the Kennen “ban this” era. Heron decks are insanely strong, sure. But maybe try solving the meta before asking Riot to solve it for you.

2x Heron timing tip: 1. Both heron triggers go on the chain. 2. Let heron #1 resolve. 3. Before heron #2 resolves, play a reaction and use the first discount. 4. Then let heron #2 resolve. That way each heron can discount a different card. 🐦🐦
