The scale of overlapping PASS alarms bespeaks the horrible death toll that must have taken place here.
Yet worse - the alarms canโt be stopped because the bodies havenโt been found.

Iโm a huge fan of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series despite he author back stabbing @TheCriticalDri2 but am I the only one who notices the extreme irony of an anti capitalist story suddenly selling merch made by huge corporations?

The people you love and consider the best people on earth? The spouse you would die for? The friends you cherish beyond words? They're mostly just very normal people who happened to be in the same geographic vicinity you were. And you would have found equally wonderful spouses and friends if you'd lived your life in a different area.
This doesn't mean that the people you love aren't as wonderful as you think. It means that everyone else is more wonderful than you think. You didn't luck out and find the only saints in a sea of sinners. You found people who just are what people are--sinners who nonetheless are capable of being profoundly loving and beautiful and fascinating.
Something that's probably worth considering the more that bitterness consumes our hearts by living our lives online.
