Later today the annual Student and Early Careers Conference will take place online as part of the #FestivalOfArchaeology The conference is organised by @CIfA_EC and @archaeologyuk, providing a supportive and friendly space for people to share their research and topics of interest to them. This year we have had many varied contributions from across the world. To accommodate everyone we have created a space for pre-recorded talks and academic posters. We thought ahead of the conference we would share the posters and their accompanying blogs. 🧵1/4

Brilliant talk from @Adedwards7 at @InstituteArch Conference highlighting that, with a little bit of love, retaining and reusing many historic buildings is often (always!?) the greener, more sustainable approach. Don’t knock it down just to replace with the same thing! #CIfA2023

Last this morning @DrSadieWatson - reflecting in the importance of lobbying & advocacy. Archaeology is part of a wider sector worth at least £14bn and we don’t need to be meek. Post Covid is an opportunity for change. Archaeology is v broad & deep. #FutureofArchaeology

"Skills don't exist in a vaccum - they need people. Archaeology was born out of curiosity. The voices of the past are diverse & archaeology needs a diverse workforce to bring these lived experiences to life, for broad audiences." - Kate Geary, @InstituteArch. #HeritageDebate2022
