A Kenyan Nicodemus Hingima Monyancha is among six suspects charged in the United States over an alleged $516,695 (KSh67 million) cryptocurrency scam targeting Americans. Prosecutors allege that Monyancha posed as a woman on dating sites, built romantic relationships with victims then lured them into fake NFT investment platforms. The victims allegedly lost their cryptocurrency after connecting their wallets to the fraudulent platforms.
