there are few things more beautiful than a single-stick subclavian with minimal dilation (so there's no oozing), covered with a pristine dry dressing

Check it out the latest production from @InterAnest on how to master the inline approach to the subclavian and use the supplementary supraclavicular fossa view to make sure your guide and catheter wind up exactly in the right spot.

🔐This new prospective observational study from @robinlunden and @OBorgquist demonstrates that the right supraclavicular fossa ultrasound view is useful for correct catheter tip positioning in right subclavian vein catheterisation.

For instance, if you're teaching doctors just starting out in anaesthesia, this intubation video may be helpful. Real patients, real anaesthesia, incremental steps for routine cases.

As previously stated by @PulmCrit this practice and reliance on sugammadex to “wake up” a patient who cannot be intubated or ventilated is an absolute DISASTER waiting to happen. contributing to failure to cric that many airway experts have been working hard to prevent 1/ – at Thames-Coromandel, New Zealand

then things take a weird turn and sugammadex mades an impromptu appearance... that's right, the article implies that sugammadex can be used to avoid cricothyrotomy in patients with respiratory failure due to upper airway obstruction... (#rantorial 4/6)
