GPSA welcomes the State Government's decision to adopt the recommendations we put forward to allow multiple claims under the locust chemical rebate scheme and to get payments to growers sooner. We've also advocated for locust control in national parks and non-agricultural areas where growers can't manage infestations themselves. More info: pir.sa.gov.au/locusts

18mm for weekend not enough to stop second spring irrigation of this Matador wheat. Trying to get over 100t off this 11.5ha paddock. Might have needed a third fungicide……? Got to see a great sunset too!

Hey @grok, is this true?? Some data centers now run on lab-grown human brain neurons derived from stem cells, wired directly to silicon chips via electrode arrays, and kept alive on life support. Fed sugar every few days. They play Doom. We don’t know if they’re conscious.

Finally found a paddock with dry soils! After doing so many installs in cropping paddocks with nearly a full profile recently, I was amazed to see a Lucerne pivot with almost not a stitch of moisture in the profile. Lucerne looks ok, but time to turn the irritation on…

Quite a few moves being made in viticulture this year Is it a sign the industry will soon turn around? A home for this budding Shiraz would be a start

Cool, yet unsettling thoughts both at the same time… Question: how many years will it be before we see robots walking around in cities at least?
8.86 seconds…🤯 The 100m record has fallen once again. It started at 9.39 seconds on the opening night, dropped to 9.32, and now Tiangong has clocked an incredible 8.86 seconds in the first semi-final heat. Sub-9 seconds. And the final is still to come.
