Andorra is the country. Tucked in the Pyrenees Mountains, the country has a unique history and setup. It’s ruled (symbolically) by two non-Andorran co-princes: the President of France & the Bishop of Urgell in Spain. This arrangement dates back to a feudal treaty signed in 1278.

While in Eastern Kentucky this past weekend, I spotted a little eastern fence lizard in a woods clearing. I enjoy seeing these critters! Like the name suggests, they can be found on fences, but also on rocks, trees/stumps, sandy soils, etc. The 3rd image shows its range map.

Here’s another eastern fence lizard, a bigger one that I took pics of at Red River Gorge, also in Eastern Kentucky. This trail on Auxier Ridge has lots of sandstone, which these lizards love.

The highlighted river is the Brazos. While still under Mexican rule, many Anglo-Americans settled on and near the Brazos due to its fertile lands. During the Texas Revolution, independence was declared at Washington-on-the-Brazos, near the river, on March 2, 1836.

There's a lesser-known wall in Scotland, the Antonine Wall, stretching ~39 miles (63 km). Made of turf on a stone base, it was built to advance Roman control but abandoned due to military pressure from tribes, logistical challenges, and cost after about 20 years of occupation.
