You must believe you are special. Then go so f*cking hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. Wage a daily war against the ordinary outcome until the belief you invented from nothing, alone in a room, has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.

60th Notting Hill Carnival 2026. I cannot put into words how much I despise those who lie about my city and say ridiculous things like you can’t walk the streets of London or that it it subject to Sharia. Utterly laughable if it wasn’t so malicious and damaging.

What is intellectual compatibility? Does it mean both of you are into Nolan and/or Fincher? Or both of you read and talk Dostoevsky? Or that both of you enjoy the works of Dali and Kahlo? Or enjoy playing tennis on a day off? Probably not! You can match all of that and still feel unfulfilled, unmatched. It means both of you understand, or TRY to understand, from a perspective of curiosity, the place from where each one of your opinions is coming from, how it was built, what led to that particular development. Be it about the gender gap. The struggles a man goes through to provide or hide emotions- or the invisible burdens on his shoulder. The struggles a woman goes through to reach and survive in the place she is at. How you see yourselves 10 years from now and what is YOUR definition of a relationship. Nolan and Dostoevsky can have an impact on how you think and what you think, afterall, that is what art is for. But it cannot be the flag-bearer of your intellect. Eventually, intellectual compatibility is where you feel seen, and heard, and understood, and accepted. And where you WANT to see, hear, understand, and accept the other person.
Marry your intellectual match. Both emotional and otherwise. Else you will just be looking for it outside. In someone. Somewhere. (Or dont. You do you)

London is the greatest city in the world and, honestly, it's not even close.
They were trying to say this city is a hellhole now btw. London, the greatest city in the world.

This is called "August" in Europe
At Meta you get to take "re-charge" every five years. It's effectively a 1 month sabbatical. Just took mine (after 6+ years). Best perk ever. I was trying to think the last time I have gone 1 month without a job and I think it was summer after 6th grade. It's been some 25+ years. I cannot overstate how good it felt. Anyways, back to building! Tons of cool stuff in the pipeline.

Deep intimacy in a relationship should feel like two inner children finally finding each other, feeling safe enough to play, be silly, and just exist without judgment.

London is, by far, the number 1 global city. People pretend it’s NYC but NYC is rough unless you’re a highly competitive, mildly psychopathic, corporate raider. If you are one, NYC is probably number 1.

After frying my nervous system in the US for the past 10 years, I decided to spend half the year in London I live in Notting Hill with ample access to green spaces like Hyde Park where I forest bathe a few times a week Insane how this has instantly regulated my nervous system, plus I haven’t gotten sick once this year & noticing way less autoimmune flare ups Access to green spaces is a must for longevity, not just a ‘nice to have’
Reminder to go touch grass A scientist in Japan demonstrated that the air inside a forest strengthens your immune system for a full month The study is incredibly fascinating: Qing Li, an immunologist at Nippon Medical School in Tokyo, took 12 men on a 3-day forest trip. These were slow walks with no breathing exercises and no set route. Then he tested their blood and found a surge in natural killer cells -- the immune cells your body uses to fight cancer and virus-infected cells. Remarkably, the effect didn't fade when they went home, it was still measurable 30 days later. A control group that walked the same distance through a city showed no change at all. Pine, cedar, and cypress trees release compounds called phytoncides to defend themselves from insects and bacteria. You breathe them in, and Li believes they switch your immune cells into high gear. He estimates one forest walk a month may be enough to keep those cells elevated all year. The best medicine might not even need a prescription -- just a walk among the trees.

Intelligence is the ability to rewire your brain faster. It is not about knowing more.
The smartest people I know are willing to change their minds when presented with new evidence.

La solidaridad y la empatía son opcionales.
